Learn how to send your track to be mixed & mastered by Grow Audio

How to prepare your song to be Mixed & Mastered by us

It doesn't matter which DAW you use when it comes to sending a song to be mixed and mastered. If you use Ableton Live, FL Studio, Steinberg Cubase, Apple Logic Pro, Studio One, Bitwig or other music production software, just export all the stems (channels) of your track and send them to us.

  • Follow all the guidelines below to send your stems:

1. EXPORT all stems with the same size (total track time) in WAV 24bit / 44khz. Do not use plugins on the master channel.

2. REVIEW the stems; if they are clipping (or too low, avoid less than -15db), if there is a muted channel, duplicated, if the automations are correct, etc. When exporting, put the stems in a new project and listen to the entire track.

3. RENAME the stems with the name of each group followed by each element, e.g.: (Drum) Kick, (Bass) Sub, (Vocal) Backing.

4. DO NOT SEND group channels (send only separate stems)

5. Make a basic PRE-MIX to make your preferences clear (those involved in the track must approve the pre-mix before sending)

6. Export the stems in 1 stereo file (bounce) that sounds exactly like the stems so that we have a rough reference mix.

7. Send a REFERENCE song in audio: WAV, AIFF or MP3 320 (Do not send a streaming link).
